Just be yourself

I want you to know that his blog is not targeting any person or just anything. so today i'm gonna be talking about something i've been meaning to write all along. embracing yourself as you are.
so being a victim of bullying at a very ripe age. i've experienced being discriminated on the basis of religion, skin colour and so many others things which still make me want to take a trip back in time  and tell myself not to feel bad about it.
now first i wanna talk about those bullies who just don't take no for an answer. now its this very crazy thing which just cropped up into my head, somewhere around second grade, i had just started feeling comfortable, some of my friends whom i obviously wont name used to always sit together, now that definitely wasn't the problem. it started when i asked them if i could sit with them , first of all that girl out of nowhere started saying that they were fairer than me and thats why i couldn't sit with them. whoa! i so wasn't prepared for that, but nevertheless i told her we were the same colour. but she was just stuck on saying that she was certainly fairer than me...
now what i'm trying to say here is not that i wanted to be fairer but that its put into our heads at such a young age that being fair and tall are two really important things. another thing which i really want to share is that many times it happens that a child gets called motu or golu or just things like that but its not like they would  understand this but the child might not feel good in its skin and probably might stop eating.
now to finish this off i wanna say that feeling good in your own skin is really important. i hope this helps you to just walk out that door and just feel yourself and not be afraid to be yourself. because you might just have so many talents which you haven't yet discovered.

thats all for now.

things to do this summer

So while most of us would be going out , a lot will be staying home for the summer. i know how boring it gets when you stay at home all the time, maybe you might roam around a bit but when you don't, here is something i want you to do.....

this is a list, list of things to do; as you complete the task strike it off your list. seems pretty simple right....
lets start

  • plant a tree or two  (and take care of it)                            -------

  • help someone with their summer vacation homework (that is if you have any)                                                                  -------

  • research on  few interesting topics                                  --------

  • improve your skills (there is always a scope for hope)    --------

  • spend time with family and friends instead of whiling your time away (you will crave for it later)

  • spend more time outdoors                                                -------

  • become more constructive, redo your room                  ------

  • have a movie night                                                --------

  • start writing a journal                                              -----

  • prepare for the next semester                            --------

  • have a pen pal                                                     -----------

  • clean up                                                                    ---------

  • start up with a blog or a you tube channel    ------

  • give yourself a little quality time                                    ------

i hope this gives you some things to do. so put some elbow grease
and enjoy your vacation.

types of people on HOLI

So today was the beautiful day of holi and i noticed many kinds of people going about their own business......
so i decided to blog on this..... here we go.....
TYPES OF PEOPLE ON HOLI.....

  1. Lets start with the early bird, the one who comes the earliest. this person usually has got over with their exams.
  2. then is the one who calls everyone. now this person when he or she meets the early bird acts as if they hadn't met for ages.. they together go to bring everyone downstairs
  3. the one who said he or she wont come but eventually does.
  4. now we come to the one who gets hurt or maybe the one who at some point of time has colour in their mouth or eye.
  5. the one who takes revenge for person type 3.
  6. the one who has to say sorry for every time they throw colour on someone.
  7.  the one who has permanent colour on them.
  8. the one who has their exams and has to go the earliest. this time it was me, but had a lot of friends to accompany me ;p
  9. the one who pleads everyone to stay for two minutes more.....
  10. the one who told their mother that he or she will be back by 2:00 but come back at 3:30.
  11. the one who gets ill.
but when all these people come together its just like squad goals....

Why birthdays are stressful

It was my birthday on a few days ago and guess what I'm a potterhead now!!! and also, my mother gave me the best gift ever, an instagram account!!!
But you know what....Birthdays are stressful... and here's why

Birthdays are stressful for both the parent and the child..

In my case when I was a little younger I started the birthday countdown months before, but as you grow older this curiosity decreases..(anxiousness> stress)

you are asked loads of questions. Like you just suddenly turned into, whom?, some great celebrity!!! aunties, uncles, friends basically everyone.. its like you are in an apocalypse of people who want to know all sorts of things.. and when i say all sorts, I mean all sorts ..... and then a day or two later you are back at square one, that same old unpopular person.

Maybe you are an AMBIVERT (extrovert-cum-introvert)... you are the life of the party at the start but eventually you come to know the place has turned into a zoo, you curl up into your cozy nook and think of your fiends and then just minutes later of your existence........
the wishes are not that tough to handle compared to the other tasks. you might be wished at 12 midnight or maybe even at 11:59 p.m. ...whenever the wish comes if you don't show your gratitude towards them, especially if its an aunty or an uncle the you have absolutely no idea of what is going to happen when you meet them next.
the parents have tougher time. Especially the mother, clean the house cook the food, send the invitations, decide the party games, get return gifts, the list is endless....

now, the next day the clean up
your house will look less like a house and more like a dumpster. gift wrappers all over, plastic cups, plates ......
well, this is usually the next day so you are no more the birthday child so no one thinks twice before scolding you for being too lazy not to clean up. eventualy you will clean he whole place up and your mother will be satisfied. then if you are like me youll go an eat your cake and enjoy till your next birthday. whatver cause I might come up with, but when you enjoy the party, you enjoy it......

so whoever has their birthday next, happy birthday and hang on there. meet you next week with another topic till then goodbye.

A note to my future self

Hi,
I just wrote a e-mail to myself in the future that will be delivered to me 10 years from today. I cant believe technology had become so advanced. actually I cant believe 10 years from today I will be reading an email from me to me!!!! writing this was loads of fun, this is going to be a reminder of what I stand as today, and what I shall be after 10 years. a reminder of how I changed over the years ( which may not happen). but, I want my future self to remember how I was as a 11 year old .

But, the reason why I am writing this on my blog, is that I want my future self to know what I expected from myself. i do not know where i will be that time? Will i even remember about this blog? No matter what happens, i want myself to know what i expected from myself... with the competition in todays world i do not know whether ill be what i want to. but i want myself to remember what i, as a 11 year old wanted out of my life.
i want my future self to work harder to accomplish what i wanted  myself to become when I grow up as a kid.  I still have loads of time till i actually decide whom i want to be as an adult. but for now i will just stick to working hard for things that I can do at this age to try and make the task easier for my future self.

The link to the website where i wrote the email is https://futureme.org
I hope it inspires you to work harder to make a brighter future for yourself and your loved ones.

Until next time,
Goodbye.

I'm a DAY DREAMER

DREAMS! DREAMS! DREAMS!
WE LOVE TO DREAM!
DREAMS AT NIGHT,
DREAMS DURING THE DAY....
DREAMS WE REMEMBER,
DREAMS WE DARE.....

I  accept I am a day dreamer, I dream about practically everything on earth, right from being the prime minister or meeting aliens.....
There are endless possibilities to what I dream, after all a dream is my movie, I star, I direct, I produce and I compose...and the most important of all no one stops me... I can take a trip to my dreamland, its costless; yet priceless...

''ARE YOU DAY DREAMING!'' is every teachers sentence, heard by millions of people like me around the world.
Most of the times I hear this its usually when im on a trip to my wonderland where fishes fly, animals talk, teachers let you chat at class( you learn a lot when you talk) teachers give you nap time come on, just forty winks...

My wonderland is a wonderful place to be any time, its always happy enough to cheer me up if im having a hard time.

The people of my wonderland are the ones whom I've met some place, somewhere. I wish to meet them everyday, but the people in my dreams never remain the same. In my wonderland everyday is a new adventure waiting to be explored. visiting my dreamland is not that easy, there are times I very unexpectedly reach there and times when I try hard to reach there but I don't.

In spite all the struggles, when I am there I have a gala time.

I hope you have a wonderful time visiting your dreamland.

A new home

It was a wonderful day of January, when my parents told me we were going to shift.......
shift where? Mumbai.... even though Mumbai is my birthplace, i was not brought up there.
my fathers side of the family lived there, so it was very common for us to come here during the winters to escape from the freezing climate. But that was only for a few days. i couldn't imagine of living there!!! even though its called as the city of dreams, Delhi was home for me. i couldn't imagine of leaving my home. i thought it would be as easy as a pie, but unfortunately it wasn't. we had a beautiful home in Mumbai already, so that was easy. imagine a 9 and a half year old leaving everything behind, crossing a few states, have no idea how life was going to be there..
IT WAS HARD.
after a wait of 2 months we finally shifted.....

the place was new, the people were new. the home did not look like mine, the room did not look mine. i felt like Alice in wonderland- LOST. but thankfully i was saved by my new routine.
the academic year started, it was a fresh start, a new beginning. i cringed, i fumed, but there was no other way. on the top of it, i had to learn a new language. the very first day my new teacher smiled at me and the ice began to break. school tuned out to be a wonderful place. i looked forward to every afternoon to go to school. one day i saw a group of girls who used to play in the evening. i started to play with them, but somewhere, something was wrong. i felt like a misfit. now, were friends. we still fight, which group of friends don't.now when i look back, i feel silly, but then that's a part of growing up.

happy shifting!!!
bonne deplecement!!!- french
alttahawwul saeid!!!- arabic
shubh sthaanaantran- hindi
to all those who are going to be shifting.

BULLYING

Hello there, today we talk on a topic common these days, BULLYING.
yes, we all have suffered it,even I have, most of us overcame it, but for most of the victims it causes sleepless nights, depression and suicidal thoughts...
so today I take this opportunity to encourage the victims to overcome this demon and motivate the bullies to stop it....

First of all, for the victim to overcome this before it gets worse, it is very important to know which kind of bullying they suffer through.

I suffered through social bullying.... children my age wouldn't accept me......... OK lets not get those negative flashbacks,we want to overcome them.
Lets start of by knowing Why do kids bully?

As mentioned above bullies may be getting bullied themselves or maybe having personal issues..
you may not be able to help the person with their personal issues, but i am pretty sure you will will be able to comfort them.
Talk to them. If they don't want to share their personal issues, introduce them to new people, they might forget about all the problems they have and will stop bullying other children
Moving on, How to help the victim?
stopping the bully may help, but if it doesn't do the same with the victim as you did with the bully, talk.....
once the bully stops, the victim is going to start feeling way better....

Ah! lets forget about all that negative stuff......
